Digital Goa, May 22- Election Commission of India (ECI) has capped the maximum number of voters per polling station at 1,200 and announced the setting up of additional polling booths in high-rise buildings and housing colonies to ease voter access. As part of electoral roll updation, the ECI will now directly obtain death registration data from the RGI database, which will be updated after verification. Voter information slips will also be made more elector-friendly, with the serial and part numbers displayed more prominently. To streamline operations, the ECI has launched ECINET — a unified dashboard to replace over 40 apps and websites, offering all election-related services in one platform. Additionally, the issue of duplicate EPIC numbers has been addressed with a new system to assign unique EPIC numbers. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will now be issued a standard photo ID card for official identification.
