Digital Goa, November 30 – The Election Commission of India(ICI) has extended the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in 12 States and Union Territories, including Goa, by one week. As per the revised timeline, the enumeration period and rationalisation of polling stations will now be completed by December 11, 2025, and the control table update and draft roll preparation will take place from December 12 to 15, 2025. The draft electoral roll will be published on December 16, 2025, and claims and objections may be filed from December 16, 2025 to January 15, 2026. Hearings, notice issuance and verification will continue until February 7, 2026, followed by approvals by February 10, 2026. The final electoral roll will be published on February 14, 2026.
