Digital Goa, September 23, 2025 – The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) arrested Mohammed Suhail @ Michael on September 22, 2025 under the PMLA. Suhail, accused of leading a large-scale illegal land grabbing syndicate in Goa, was taken from Colvale Correctional Home, where he was in judicial custody. The Special Court (PMLA), Merces, granted ED his four-day custody. Suhail and his associates allegedly used forged documents to illegally acquire properties. Earlier probes have led to the attachment of 52 properties worth around Rs 232.73 crore. During the investigation, Suhail himself had disclosed his involvement in the illegal acquisition of over 100 properties, informed ED. Officials said his arrest will help trace proceeds of crime and expose further links in the syndicate.
