Digital Goa, October 25 – The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Goa has filed a prosecution complaint in connection with Goa’s largest cocaine seizure case, naming seven accused, including two foreign nationals. The case relates to the smuggling of 4.325 kg of cocaine, valued at around ₹43 crore brought from countries like Laos. In April this year, Goa Police had seized the drugs concealed in chocolates and coffee packets and arrested three persons. The ED’s probe has since uncovered suspected international links in the trafficking network. Prosecution complaint has been filed against the accused – Tanzanian national Vedasto Audax, Zimbabwean national Tariro Brightmore Mangwana, and Indian nationals Masoom Uikey, Chirag Dudhat, Reshma Wadekar, Mangesh Wadekar, and Nibu Vincent – under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA).
