Digital Goa, Jan 16 – A joint operation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been underway across several parts of North Goa since 6 am today, targeting an alleged drug trafficking and money laundering network. Multiple locations are being searched in Chapora, Anjuna, Assagao, Mapusa, Canca etc. Sources said the residences of several Goans are being raided, including one house reportedly belonging to a local political party leader.The action is being carried out under the Centre’s Nasha Mukt Bharat initiative. Incidentally, searches are being conducted at around 25 locations across seven states as part of a nationwide crackdown.
