ED seizes ₹2.25 crore cash, cryptocurrency in multi-city raids including Goa

Digital Goa, Sept 29 – Enforcement Directorate (ED), Panaji Zonal Office, carried out search operations on September 28 and 29 under the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), 1999, at 15 premises across Goa, Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Rajkot.The searches were conducted in connection with M/s Golden Globe Hotels Pvt. Ltd., M/s Worldwide Resorts and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., and Big Daddy Casino, Goa, informed ED. During the operations, incriminating documents, digital evidence, Indian currency worth approximately ₹2.25 crore, USD 14,000, and foreign currency equivalent to around ₹8.50 lakh were seized, ED further added. Additionally, different cryptocurrencies, including USDT valued at over ₹90 lakh, were traced and subsequently frozen, stated ED.
