Digital Goa, Feb 26 – Efforts are on to refund deposits of depositors and recover loan dues from customers of three credit co-operative societies including Mashel Mahila Co-operative Credit Society, Ashtagandha Co-operative Credit Society from Bicholim and Visionaries Co-op Credit Society by December 2024, informed minister for cooperation Subhash Shirodkar. “We will find out their assets and dispose them off if possible,” he said. Criminal cases have been filed against those involved in bogus loan rackets, he added. Shirodkar also informed that 40 persons in co-operative sector who are involved in such misappropriations have been permanently disqualified.
