Feb 9 -Elections were held today to elect managing committees of temples across Goa. Most of the temple committees were elected upopposed while many other temples election was held to elect committees. The process was by and large peaceful except for few temples. Election process in Sal and Mayem in Bicholim taluka had to be stalled due to disputes between members. There are also reports of boycott of elections in few temples. There was strong police presence in many temples to maintain law and order.
