Digital Goa, Mar 4- A 30-year-old electricity department employee died allegedly after a metal barricade of the ongoing flyover work at Dabolim fell over him. The deceased is identified as Swapnil Chindarkar from Headland Sada, Mormugao. The incident occurred near Vishal Mega Mart at Dabolim in the afternoon while he was on his way home on a two-wheeler. Locals allege that the barricade fell on the moving scooter after a JCB at the work site hit the barricade. He was shifted to Chicalim Hospital where he was declared dead. JCB driver has been detained by police. Number of Electricity Dept employees gathered at the site demanding thorough investigation and justice to their colleague. Locals have expressed anger over lack of proper safety measures at the work site.
