Digital Goa, July 10 – Remote Controller for Sectionalizer on 11kv distribution feeder, designed and developed by GEC students for Goa Electricity Department was inaugurated today. The device will help to identify the faulty section in power system networks as well as clear the fault in minimum time thereby improving the network. The device will allow remote control of Sectionalizer on 11 kV distribution feeders using secure mobile phone communication. Technicians will be able to remotely operate the Sectionalizer. One such device was installed and tested successfully on 11 KV Opa feeder at Nandanvan, Bethoda as a part of product development work.
