Digital Goa, April 27 – State Electricity Department has asked all consumers who have installed power generating devices including generator, inverter, solar generating plant etc in their installations without the permission of the Department to immediately take measures to disconnect such devices and reconnect the same only after informing the department about the units. They are also expected to mandatorily install isolating devices to disconnect them from department mains. The technical and operational details are to be submitted through a state authorized licensed electrical contractor. “Failing which any consumer causing damage to the Department apparatus/ human life will be fully responsible for such losses,” states the release issued through the dept.
Last week, lineman Manoj Jambaulikar had died while working of electric pole at Bicholim and electricity Department had attributed the death to starting of the invertor by Fitness Factory at Bicholim.
