Digital Goa, Sept 7 – Elephant ‘Omkar’, which has repeatedly entered farms along the Goa-Maharashtra border, is reportedly heading back towards the Torxem–Tamboxem–Mopa belt in Pernem, triggering fresh concern among farmers and plantation owners. The movement comes ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi, when several crops are ready to be harvested and sent to market. Fearing damage to their produce, locals have demanded firm and permanent measures from the Forest Department.
