Digital Goa, July 3 – Goa State Environment Impact Assessment Authority(GOA-SEIAA) has sought additional details from Goa Medical College & Hospital regarding the construction of the tertiary cancer care centre and blood bank within the existing premises. Expansion of Environmental Clearance for the project came for discussion before SEIAA in its meeting held on June 20. The new constructions is slated to come up on an area spanning 24,060 sqm. Additional Details Sought (ADS) by the authority include details regarding installation of solar panel, parking, plantation of (Indigenous/ medicinal value) to be carried out within the campus premises or outside the campus in consultation to Goa State Biodiversity Board and details of fire assembly points. The Authority has also decided to inspect the site to verify the site conditions. Goa State Expert Appraisal Committee (Goa-SEAC) had already recommended the proposal for green clearance.
