EOC registers complaint against UP based company for fleecing 1,000 investors for Rs 7 crore

Digital Goa, Jan 22 –  Nearly 1,000 investors in Goa were cheated to the tune of Rs 7 crore allegedly by a UP based company Karmabhoomi Infratech Realty. Complaint has been registered against Chairman Devendra Pal Singh and other officials of the company by the Economic Offence Cell of Goa govt in this regards. The company and its associated firms have been allegedly marred in controversy since 2015. Incidentally, in 2015 in a similar case of investor cheating, markets regulator SEBI had directed another Karmbhoomi Real Estate and its directors to refund within 3 months the investors’ money it had raised illegally. SEBI had also imposed several restrictions on the company.
