Digital Goa, July 23 – Tender to set up an ethanol plant at Sanjivani Sugar Factory will be floated within a month, CM Pramod Sawant informed the Assembly today. He said the tender had been floated twice earlier but did not receive a favourable response from bidders. Sawant added that a circular has been issued asking farmers to grow sugarcane, and that the government will procure it this year. Govt has been providing compensation to farmers for the past five years, he added.
