June 12- National Highway Authorities of India(NHAI) has issued 48-hours eviction notice to occupants of make shift structures from Verna Junction to Varunapuri Junction. NHAI has warned of removing all such encroachments and hindrances on its own by June 14 at the risks, costs and consequences of such encroachers. “Notice is hereby issued to unknown occupants of make shift structures re-erected unauthorizedly and illegally on National Highway NH-17B (New NH-566) from Verna Junction to Varunapuri Junction that they are directed to remove all the encroachments, belongings and other material from National Highway Land within 48 hours from the date of publication of this notice, falling which, National Highway Authority of India, PIU-Goa will remove all such encroachments and hindrances on its own by 14th June, 2024 at the risks, costs and consequences of such encroachers,” states the public notice.
