Digital Goa, July 23 – The Goa government has ordered that the existing panel of Reconciliators under the Goa Co-operative Societies Act will continue to hear and decide disputes involving co-operative societies until the newly created Society’s Advisory, Harmony and Redressal Authority (SAHARA) is constituted.
The interim arrangement follows the promulgation of the Goa Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026, which replaces the earlier reconciliation mechanism under Section 113A with the statutory SAHARA Authority. Since the new authority is yet to be set up, the government said the decision was taken to avoid an administrative vacuum and ensure continuity in dispute resolution
