Digital Goa, Jan 22-  Police have ruled out that the fire incident and explosion at Dangui Colony today morning could have been due to bomb blast. Mapusa SDPO Jivba Dalvi said that police is exploring 2-3 different angles but the possibility that the explosion might have been caused due to a bomb blast is ruled out. AC was operating without the stabilizer, there was no ventilation, fridge compressor and gas leak from cylinder may have possibly triggered the fire and eventually the blast, he opined. He however said that conclusive statements can be made only after receiving the final reports from various investigating agencies. Bomb disposal squad and forensic team visited the site today evening. Dalvi said that they have also asked the Electricity Department and Factories and Boilers to inspect the explosion site. He added that his dept will write to Excise Dept to cancel the license of the bar and restaurant outside which the blast took place. It was open till 3.30 am in violation of Excise rules and negligence on their part may have triggered the blast, he added. Nearly 7 flats and a bunglow were damaged due to the blast. In some cases, cracks came up on walls while in most cases window panes were cracked. 3 four-wheelers and 3-two-wheelers were damaged in the blast.
