Mapusa Police have arrested Shabbir Kassim Shaikh (48), father of a 16-year-old boy, and Reehaan Shaikh (18), the pillion rider in the fatal hit-and-run case at Mapusa. The minor who was riding the bike fatally struck 12-year-old Akanshaya Boro with a motorcycle while she was crossing the road near Camarkhajan, Mapusa. Both the minor and Reehan fled the scene after the collision and later attempted to conceal the damaged vehicle, informed police. A report against the minor will be sent to the Juvenile Justice Board, police added. Father has been arrested for giving the bike to the minor who did not possess licence.
