FDA asks medical practitioners and medicine sellers to stop use and sale of 156 banned drugs

Sept 14 – FDA has extended the ban on 156 drugs imposed by the center to the State of Goa. Central Government has prohibited the manufacture for sale, sale or distribution for human use 156 drug Fixed Dose Combination (FDCs). The list of banned FDCs are uploaded on www.goa.gov.in states a release by FDA. All the RMPs, doctors, physicians are advised to ensure that no prescriptions are issued for these drugs. Drug retailers, wholesalers, hospitals, Dispensaries, clinics have been asked to return back the drugs to their respective suppliers.
