Digital Goa, Apr 18 – State Fisheries Dept will conduct 6 months fisheries training courses starting from June 1, 2023 at Fishermen Training Centre Ela Dhauji, Old Goa. The course is meant for imparting training in Fishing Craft & Gear, Fundamentals of Navigation & Seamanship, Maintenance & Operation of Marine Diesel Engine, Weaving and Mending of modern Nets, Seafood Value Addition & Marketing, Aquaculture, Aquarium making & Swimming. Candidates having passed minimum VIIIth Std. and between 18-35 years of age are eligible for admission. The Candidates admitted to the course will be paid stipend of Rs 1000 per month and Rs. 100 per day is also paid as D.A. during Fishing trips. Details are available of www.fisheries.goa.gov.in
