Dec 13 – Mapusa Police arrested five individuals in a narcotics raid conducted at the New KTC Bus Stand parking lot on December 12, 2024. Police team apprehended the accused in possession of 10.3 kg of suspected ganja, valued at Rs 10 lakh. The arrested individuals are Chandankumar Sharma (22), Rohit Sharma (21), and Imtiyaz Muslim Ansari (21) from Jharkhand, along with Vijay Volvoikar (25) and Parshuram Lamani (36) from Bardez, Goa. The trio from Jharkhand reportedly procured the ganja to supply it to customers via the two local accomplices.
