Digital Goa, Dec 23 – A fleet of 60 buses including big and mini electrical buses,mini diesel driven buses, mico medical buses and electrcial buggies owned by Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd (KTCL) are set to replace the 57 odd private buses plying in and around Panaji under the Smart City Mission. Govt has notified stage carriage service in relation to the routes, viz. from Panaji bus stand to Miramar, Donapaula, Caranzalem, Bambolim, Goa University, Cujira, Taleigao, St. Inez, St. Cruz and Altinho. Stakeholders have been asked to raise objections if any to the notification within thirty days.
The Smart buses introduced by KTCL on these routes will be colour coded as per the route and will offer services such as QR code ticket, Public Announcement System (PAS) ,line tracking of buses at home and bus stop to plan the personal schedule etc. Standard fare rates of Rs 10 and Rs 20 will be charged to the
The proposed service will be operating Stage Carriages by buses, Mini Buses. The Stage Carriages will be of different types such as Luxury Stage Carriages, Semi-Luxury Stage Carriages (Electric Vehicles), Electric Buggies in non-motorized roads, etc. with limited stops or direct from one stop to another.
