Aug 31- Industries will have to follow best practices if they want to continue operating in Goa. Govt will support only industries which follow best practices, asserted CM Pramod Sawant. “Otherwise, close your shop and go, best way,” said Sawant. He was speaking at the closing ceremony of the Vibrant Goa Foundation’s Green Goa Summit 2024. “Effluent Treatment Plants(ETP) are 100% compulsory for all industries. We are not giving permissions to industries without ETP plant,” he said. We will stop industries operating sans ETP plants, he warned.
He asked industry leaders to support the govt when green projects like Marinas are being opposed by NGOs.
