Digital Goa, Nov 17 – State Forest Dept has introduced major hike in forest pass fee for transportation of timber, firewood and other minor forest produce as well as mineral ore. The passes will be provided in the form of colour coded books. The fee for forest pass for timber, firewood and minor forest produce from Government forests after purchase by private parties, Institutions or Government Departments has been hiked from Rs 50 to Rs 500. Pass for firewood or minor forest produce from private area has been hiked from Rs 100 to Rs 300.
