Digital Goa, Jan 22 – A day after the High Court of Bombay at Goa rejected his plea for anticipatory bail, the disqualified Sarpanch of the Village Panchayat Arpora-Nagoa, Roshan Redkar, surrendered before the court on Thursday. Redkar’s surrender comes in connection with the ongoing investigation into the Birch fire case, an incident that has drawn significant legal and public scrutiny.
Meanwhile, JMFC Mapusa has extended the police custody of terminated Arpora Panchayat Secretary Raghuvir Bagkar by seven days in connection with the same case.
