Digital Goa, Oct 4 – CM Pramod Sawant laid the foundation stone for the Rs 75 crore worth re -construction of the CCP building today. First phase of iconic CCP building will be completed within a year and half, informed Panaji Mayor Rohit Monserrate. The CCP office building will be constructed on a total area of 14,700 sq mtr. It will comprise a basement, four floors, an open central plaza of 600 square metres ,provisions for parking 250-odd four-wheelers and will house commercial shops and offices, the CCP’s office, and the main town hall. Vendors in the existing complex will be temporarily shifted to a new location, informed mayor.
Incidentally, foundation stone for the CCP building was laid earlier on November 25, 2021. When queried over this Mayor claimed that earlier some part of the building was to be rebuilt and that it was a mistake.
