Digital Goa, June 17 – Munir Al Shafiq (22), the main accused in the abduction of Ponda-based scrap businessman Sandeep Chaudhary (32), was apprehended by Ponda Police while attempting to flee to the Middle East via Mumbai, informed police. Sandeep was rescued on June 12, and Munir was arrested the same day. Police have also arrested Munir’s four accomplices — Shakir Abdilsiddiq, Mohd Tamim, Izaz Ahmad, and Lathif Mohd — all natives of Karnataka, who worked for Munir and allegedly carried out the kidnapping on his instructions.
