Four arrested, FIR against 2 owners in Arpora fire case: DGP

Digital Goa, Dec 7 – Police have arrested four persons in the Arpora incident -Chief General Manager Rajiv Modak, General Manager Vivek Singh, Rajiv Singhania, and Gate Manager Diyansu Thakur, said DGP Goa Alok Kumar. An FIR has also been registered against the club’s owners, Saurav Luthra and Gaurav Luthra. CM Pramod Sawant informed that police team has already been sent to Delhi to apprehend them. Other clubs run by the Luthra’s in Goa have been sealed, Sawant added.
CS and DGP have been directed to take disciplinary action against officials found negligent, CM said. He asserted that everyone linked to the incident, from owners and promoters to govt officers giving permissions for operations without checking for compliances will be brought to books and put behind bars if found guilty. “Today itself some suspension order will be issued,” he asserted. “This is the largest incident in tourism industry in Goa. All responsible will be put behind bars, no one will be spared,” he said.
