Four bodies found in different locations in North Goa since morning

Digital Goa, August 24 – A 62-year-old man, identified as Tanaji Gaikwad, a welder from Kolhapur, Maharashtra, and residing in Old Goa, was found dead in a gutter near the Old Goa police station on Sunday. Police said the deceased was fished out with the help of fire and emergency services. Enquiries with locals and family revealed that Gaikwad was a chronic alcoholic who often slept on the roadside after consuming liquor, informed police.
A 26-year-old man, identified as Mirza Soren from Mayurbhanj, Odisha, who was working as a helper at a Biryani Corner outlet in Old Goa was found dead along the roadside at Old Goa. As per police he was a chronic alcoholic and has been sick for two days with stomach pain and jaundice. Locals who noticed him lying on the roadside claimed that he had wounds on his body.
One more body was found floating in Mandovi river while the fourth one was found floating in the river near Amona bridge.
