Digital Goa, Sept 11 – Four cottages of a guesthouse and restaurant at Anjuna were completely gutted in a massive fire in the wee hours around 2 am, causing losses estimated in lakhs of rupees.The blaze reportedly broke out while the guesthouse was closed. Local residents noticed thick smoke and flames and alerted the Fire and Emergency Services. Firefighters, assisted by police and local residents, brought the blaze under control. No casualties were reported. A short circuit is suspected to have caused the fire, though the exact reason is yet to be established.
