Digital Goa, Nov 19 – In a meeting of the District Ujjwala Committee (DUC) for South Goa, it was decided that 5% of all released Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) connections—and 20% in the case of migrant beneficiaries—will undergo physical verification to ensure authenticity and compliance. PMUY is a government scheme that provides free LPG connections to women from economically weaker households to promote clean cooking.
