Digital Goa, July 22 – In a major crackdown, Canacona Police raided a house in Loliem and arrested 40 individuals – 7 organisers and 33 players in connection with illegal card gambling. Police caught the accused red-handed and seized cash worth ₹5.2 lakh, 40 mobile phones valued at ₹5 lakh, a desktop setup worth ₹15,000, and a car estimated at ₹6 lakh — with the total seizure amounting to approximately ₹16.35 lakh. Most of the accused hail from various parts of Karnataka.
