Digital Goa, Sept 11 – Deadline for withdrawal of nominations for Goa Cricket Association (GCA) elections scheduled on Sept 16 closed today, Sept 11. The elections, will see two prominent panels go head-to-head for six key posts. The presidential race is a key highlight, pitting Mahesh Dessai against Mahesh Candolkar. For the Vice President’s position, Paresh Fadte will face off against Rajesh Patnekar. The Secretary’s post has 3 contenders—Daya Pagi, Hemant Pai Angle, and Tulshidas Shetye—vying for the role. The contest for Joint Secretary is between Anant Naik and Sushant G Naik, while the Treasurer’s position will see Rupesh Naik compete against Sayed Majid. Additionally, two candidates, Mahesh Behki and Megnath Shirodkar, are in the running for the member post. 107 clubs are eligible to cast their votes in the election.
