Digital Goa, September 24, 2025 – Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) has floated an Expression of Interest (EOI) inviting agencies to carry out a pilot project using UAV-based LiDAR technology to identify Khazan lands in Morombi village, Tiswadi taluka. The study will be conducted in collaboration with the Khazan Society and the Water Resources Department. LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is a technology that uses laser pulses from drones or aircraft to create detailed 3D maps of the land surface. For Khazan lands it can help identify boundaries, water flow, and changes in terrain more accurately than traditional surveys.
