GCZMA to revert back to offline acceptance of CRZ clearance proposals

Digital Goa, Feb 29 – GCZMA has issued a circular stating that CRZ clearances proposal will now be accepted offline. Earlier in November, 2023 the Coastal Zone Regulation body had issued a circular mandating that all CRZ clearances proposal will be accepted only online on the Union Environment Ministry’s Parivesh 2.0 portal, from Nov 15. GCZMA had also said that the decision was taken in accordance with the instruction from Union Ministry of Environment Forest & Climate Change (MoEF & CC) to process all CRZ clearances proposal online on Parivesh 2.0 portal only.
“However, it has come to our attention that the said portal (Parivesh) can only process applications intended for submission to the MOEF & CC. Therefore, the authority has decided to accept all applications offline, except for those requiring the approval of the MOEF,” states the circular issued by Director (Environment & CC), Govt of Goa today.
