Digital Goa, June 1 – Goa State Assembly met for 13 days in 2022 as against the national average of 21 days, according to a report compiled by think-tank PRS Legislative Research. Karnataka assembly met for maximum i. e 45 days while the number of days were least for Nagaland assembly at 6. The number of assembly sitting days have been steadily declining since 2016 for Goa and stood at an average of 18 days per year for the period between 2016 to 2022, as against national average of 25 days for state assemblies. Incidentally, during the covid pandemic year of 2020 the assembly met only for 7 days.
