Digital Goa, August 1 – Goa Legislative Assembly today raised serious concern over the growing sand erosion along the state’s coastline, attributing it to climate change. Several MLAs highlighted how popular beaches like Coco in Nerul are vanishing due to the crisis. Responding to a calling attention motion by MLA Kedar Naik, CM Pramod Sawant assured that a comprehensive study involving multiple agencies will be conducted and submitted to the Centre to chart a long-term mitigation plan to protect coastal livelihoods.
