Goa Govt adopts revised Dearness Relief; pensioners to get 60% DR from January 2026

Digital Goa, June 4 – Goa Government has adopted the Central Government’s revised Dearness Relief (DR) rates for pensioners and family pensioners, increasing the DR from 58% to 60% of basic pension/family pension with effect from January 1, 2026. According to an Office Memorandum issued by the State Finance Department (Revenue and Control Division), the enhanced DR will be paid along with arrears for the period from January 1, 2026 to May 31, 2026, together with the pension for June 2026. The revised rate follows a decision of the Center, which approved an additional 2% Dearness Relief for Central Government pensioners and family pensioners. The benefit covers all categories of pensioners, including family pensioners, armed forces pensioners, railway pensioners, All India Service pensioners, and those receiving provisional pensions.
