Digital Goa, Feb 27- All Facility Providers (Telecom / Internet Service Providers, etc.) in Goa have been asked by the govt to apply on the Govt of India’s Gatishakti Sanchar Portal (gatishaktisanchar.gov.in) portal for utilization of Electricity Department infrastructure across the State for installation of cables. The Electricity Department will process these applications and provide approval on merit basis after payment of the requisite fees, states a public notice issued in this regards. The portal has been opened for receiving online applications from February 15, 2025 towards utilization of Electricity Dept infrastructure for installation of Internet / Telecom / Television / Communication cables etc. The Facility Providers have also been asked to ensure that all safety measures are undertaken, aesthetics maintained and cables installed in the manner causing no inconvenience for the working of the Electricity Department line staff. They have also been asked to remove all old / unused cables immediately along with all accessories and lay cables in underground ducts wherever such ducts are available.
