Digital Goa, Oct 17 – High Court today disposed of a petition filed by shack operators after Goa govt assured to publish shack policy within a week. Advocate General Pangam informed the High Court that state govt will notify much awaited Shack policy 2023-26 within a week to facilitate allocation of beach shacks in the state. Shack operators are unhappy over the delay in allocation of shacks even as the tourism season has already started in the state. Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) has granted permission to erect 359 beach shacks- 254 in North Goa and 105 in South Goa.
