Digital Goa, May 19 – Goa government has granted operational permits to 13 state branches of Tirumalla Tirupati Multistate Co-operative Credit Society Ltd after the society submitted details of its financial status, informed Cooperation Minister Subhash Shirodkar. Their NOCs had earlier been cancelled over alleged irregularities. Shirodkar said the society’s statement indicated deposits of ₹300 crore to ₹350 crore in various banks, adding that no permission has been granted for new branches. On investigations into other credit and thrift societies such as Visionaries Urban Co-operative Credit Society and Mashel Mahila Co-operative Credit Society Ltd, which are under scrutiny over financial deadlock, the minister said such entities cannot be shut overnight and are currently under government review and recovery processes.
