Digital Goa, Nov 25 – CM Pramod Sawant has announced that the Goa government will implement the newly introduced national labour laws at the earliest, ensuring maximum benefits for workers. The new framework guarantees uniform wages for skilled workers, digital payments, gender-neutral provisions and strict protection against labour exploitation. Sawant said the State is committed to fair, safe and equal working conditions, assuring no wage inequality or gender-based discrimination under the new framework. India’s four new Labour Codes, effective November 21, 2025, consolidate 29 laws and introduce universal minimum wages, expanded social security (including for gig workers), mandatory appointment letters, simpler compliance, flexible work options and better safeguards for women on night shifts.
