Goa govt writes to Center seeking relaxation in Sound pollution rules

    Digital Goa, Jan 18-  Goa government has sought relaxations from central government to the Noise Pollution Regulation and Control Rules, 2000, Environment Minister Nilesh Cabral told the house today. He said he has written to Union Minister for Forests and Climate Change Bhupendra Yadav to seek the relevant relaxations. In the letter he has also pressed for the need for an independent categorisation or zone as well as the definition of daytime and night time which should be treated on par with industrial areas, where noise pollution norms are relaxed.
