Goa Home Dept asks Mumbai real estate firm to withdraw “highly objectionable and obnoxious” advertisement

Sept 12 – Goa govt has finally taken objection to the controversial advertisement issued by House of Abhinandan Lodha stating “Delhi, Rulers of India, now conquer Goa”. Home dept of Goa govt has issued notice to the House of Abhinandan Lodha group to immediately withdraw these advertisements stating that they are “highly objectionable and obnoxious and has hurt the sentiments of people of Goa”. The action came after CM Pramod Sawant wrote to home dept asking for action pointing out that statements like ‘conquer Goa’ were highly objectionable and ‘tend to hurt the sentiments of proud residents of independent Goa’ .
