Digital Goa, Nov 8 – Most parts of Goa woke up to unseasonal rains accompanied by thunder and lightning in the wee hours today. Light rain continues in many parts of Goa. The sky is overcast due to presence of cloud cover over most part of Goa which is learnt to be result of low pressure belt. According to IMD, rain and thunder showers will continue for next two days in Goa. Lighting struck laundry at Karapur, however no major damages have been reported due to the incident. Several venues of National Games were water logged due to the rains due to which start of games in several disciplines have been delayed. Margao, Dabolim and Panaji recorded over 100 mm rain in last 24 hours followed by Mormugao 60.4 mm. Quepem, Sanguem, Old Goa received around 50 mm rainfall.
