Panaji, July 3 – The Directorate of Women and Child Development has notified the appointment of 14 protection officers—12 taluka level officers and 2 district level officers—under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. The newly designated officers include central administrators of the One Stop Centres in North and South Goa, and female probation officers for each of the 12 talukas. These officers will be responsible for providing assistance and protection to women facing domestic violence in their respective jurisdictions.
