Oct 18 – Goa Police has intensified drive against rowdy elements in the state on the directions of the CM Pramod Sawant and so far arrested 100 persons across the state. According to police sources, extra force has been deployed in coastal belt, IRBN personnel are used and static and mobile patrolling has been increased in the state. Police Inspectors have been asked to give updates every 24 hours. Majority of the cases have been booked in Calangute, Panaji, Mapusa and Bicholim police stations. 68 cases are booked under section 126 of BNSS. Other cases are booked under Section 35 of BNSS, Section 170 of BNSS and Section 128 of BNSS.
