Digital Goa, August 7 – The Goa government has reconstituted the three-tier institutional framework overseeing climate action in the State by issuing fresh notifications for the State Governing Council for Climate Change (SGCCC), State Level Steering Committee (SLSC) for Climate Change and Climate Change Cell (CCC). The move aims to strengthen inter-departmental coordination, improve implementation of the State Action Plan on Climate Change (SAPCC) and align Goa’s climate governance with emerging priorities. Each of the three bodies has been reconstituted for a three-year term with representation from government departments, academic institutions, scientific organisations and climate experts.
