Digital Goa, May 15-Goa witnessed a total of 198 road accidents in April 2025, resulting in 26 fatalities and 93 injuries, according to official statistics released by the transport authorities. The data reveals that both North Goa and South Goa districts reported an equal number of fatal accidents — 12 each. However, South Goa saw a higher overall number of accidents (115) compared to North Goa (83), with more grievous and minor injuries recorded in the southern district. Out of the 26 persons killed, 17 were riders and 4 were pillion riders. Notably, 5 pedestrians also lost their lives in these accidents. No fatalities were reported among drivers, passengers, or cyclists. In terms of injuries, 17 people suffered grievous injuries — 8 in North Goa and 9 in South Goa.
